Ron Forsyth passed away on January 25, 2017 at the age of 70. Ron is the son of Lillian and Tom Forsyth of Pathlow, SK. He attended school in Pathlow.
The Forsyth homestead was located one mile south of Pathlow and Ron moved there at the age of 18. He met the love of his life Marjorie Reid, was married on April 22, 1967 and lived on the farm for 48 years.

Ron and Marj were farmers. They raised grain, cattle, horses, pigs, chickens, and Guy’s 4 ducks. Numerous summers were spent camping at East Trout Lake and Lower Fishing Lake. Many day trips were taken to St. Brieux Lake so Judy and Guy could water ski after supper.
Ron was a handy man. He bought the Anglican Church in Pathlow and moved it to the farm. It was his heated shop where he built kitchen cabinets and wood projects for the farm, family and friends.
Ron worked at the Pathlow Ponderosa feedlot for many years. After the feedlot closed he worked at DryAir and Bourgault Industries in St. Brieux. Ron retired at the age of 65. Ron and Marj enjoyed spending time with the family, children and grandchildren as well as gardening and putzing around.
Ron and Marj could be found enjoying coffee at the St. Brieux Cafe or the Melfort Co-op where Ron told story after story, which he loved to do.
