Forever in Our Hearts...
Noreen Melissa (Tait) Craig, passed away peacefully on December 17th, 2016 at the age of 93 in Edmonton, AB.
She was predeceased by her parents David (1963) and Louise (1972) Tait, her loving husband Alfred (2011), her brother Douglas Tait (2003) and his wife Donna (2016), and sister-in-law Bernice Tait (2016).
Noreen was born in Meota, SK and was the oldest of 4 children. She attended public school in Meota, Saskatoon Teachers College, the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Minnesota. She taught in Minnehaha, Rosthern, and Saskatoon, SK as well as Stratford, ON.
She married Alfred in 1959 and they lived on the Melfort farm. She taught school, was involved with the United Church and played the organ at the Funeral home. Over the years, Alfred and Noreen enjoyed square dancing, traveling and attending elder hostel programs. Her hobbies were music, gardening, bird watching and cross country skiing (and collecting soap from motels they stayed at).
She leaves behind daughter Eleanor (John) Artman, Lynnwood, WA, son David (Julie) Edmonton, AB, and son Logan (Mary), Gravenhurst, ON, sister Barbara (Cecil) Dirk, Vernon, BC, and brother Winston, Meota, SK and numerous nieces and nephews.
