Obituary for Delores Smith (Cottrill)

Delores was born in Melfort on June 7, 1935 to Eldridge and Mary Cottrill. Delores grew up with the love of her life and was married to Gordon on July 2, 1954. They were blessed to have four children; Greg, Garth, Susan and Brian. They began married life and raising children in Regina where Gordon was a fire fighter and Delores worked at Safeway. In 1968 the family moved back to Melfort to take over the family farm. Delores started working when White Cross Drug store opened and she continued to work there until she joined Gordon at the gas station in about 1988.
Her passion in life was family and grandchildren. There weren’t many nights she couldn’t be found in a rink watching kids play hockey.
Delores is survived by her husband Gordon, sons; Greg, Garth (Karen), daughter; Susan (Rick), grandchildren; Cole (Courtney), Tanner (Kaitlyn), Lauren (Jon), Connor (Katelyn), Allix (Casey), Jill (Malusi), Rhett (Angela), and great grand babies; Kashtyn, Cruz & Jesse.
She was predeceased by her parents Eldridge & Mary, brother Harvey, sister Imogene, daughter-in-law Sandra, and son Brian.
